One thing that my girlfriends and I can agree on is our love for brunch. Where we currently live doesn’t really have any good brunch spots, so we have to create our own when given the chance. When I had the opportunity to throw a girl themed baby shower, I thought why not have a waffle bar? It’s a variety of foods that everyone loves and I even got to use my favorite Kellogg’s Eggo Homestyle Waffles!
Since this was a girl themed baby shower, I decided to use pink and gold colors. This is what was used for my baby shower for Madison and it’s how we first decorated her nursery. I still love these colors and just how feminine they are when combined. Whether you’re throwing a boy or gender neutral themed baby shower, you can easily swap out the colors in the decor to match your preferences. I included a Waffle Bar “instructions” printable in my themed colors that said, ” 1. Pick Your Waffle, 2. Pick Your Toppings, 3. Drizzle”. It’s a cute addition to any themed Waffle Bar! I also included matching labels for the various types of foods within the waffle bar.
To highlight my oh so delicious Eggo Homestyle Waffles, I toasted them and placed on a 3-Tier Glass dish. Since the Eggo Waffles are the highlight of this party, they deserve to stand a little taller than the rest of our food and toppings. In addition to Eggo Waffles being absolutely delicious they’re also now made with no artificial flavors and colors from natural sources. Since my two year old is absolutely obsessed with Eggo Waffles, it comforts me as a Mom to know that Eggo is using natural flavors.
No Waffle Bar is complete without a variety of topping options. Even though Eggo is loved by most, how we top our waffles is often very different. So I decided to create a menu of sweet, savory and lighter waffle options. These waffle recipes are all different, so there will be something to help spark all of your guests taste buds.
The Sweet One
If you like your waffles like your desserts then this is the waffle for you. This waffle creation is stacked three Eggo Waffles high with Reddi-wip® Original Dairy Whipped Topping, DOLE® Pineapple Tidbits and strawberries covering the top of your bottom two waffles. The third waffle – and top of the waffle stack – is covered in Reddi-wip, HERSHEY’S Classic Chocolate Syrup and sprinkles. The HERSHEY’s just adds a whole lot of happy to this waffle and gives my sweet tooth exactly what it’s been craving.
The Savory One
This recipe is for the person who loves a big hearty breakfast. This waffle creation is stacked three Eggo Waffles high with Banquet® Brown’N Serve™ Original Sausage Links, eggs and cheddar cheese covering the top of the two bottom waffles. The third – and top – waffle is covered with Banquet® Brown’N Serve™ Original Sausage Links and Maple Grove Farms Pure Maple Syrup. Maple Grove Farms Pure Maple Syrup is sustainable and only contains one ingredient. Your guests will want to lick their plate clean after this one!
The Light One
This recipe is a lighter option for those who are health conscious or just prefer a lighter tasting waffle recipe. This waffle creation is stacked high with three Eggo Waffles, Peter Pan® Peanut Butter, DOLE Pineapple Tidbits and blueberries. The third – and top – waffle is topped with Chobani® vanilla GREEK yogurt and Peter Pan® Peanut Butter. DOLE Pineapple Tidbits are great for everyday snacks, and I love how it ties all the flavors together within this recipe favorite.
