Delicious Meal Replacement Chocolate Protein Smoothie

My favorite thing to do after my workout is to go home and make my favorite Meal Replacement Chocolate Protein Smoothie. Depending on when I work out, I normally drink this for breakfast or lunch.

Protein Meal Replacement Smoothie

For starters, this protein shake is absolutely delicious! It’s easy to forget that I’m drinking something that’s actually really good for me. This smoothie is full of protein, fiber, vitamins and nutrients that will replace and repair muscles, fill your tummies and satisfy your taste buds. The base of this smoothie is Life Extension Whey Protein Isolate in Natural Chocolate Flavor. Life Extension developed a specially designed whey protein, using proprietary production methodology, that has been shown to help maintain lean muscle mass while also supporting a healthy immune system. As a Mom, it’s essential to keep a healthy immune system, which is why I love to use Life Extension Whey Protein – but if you do get sick, check out my post on How To Survive a Mom Sick Day

The whey protein isolate is made using a process known as Cross Flow Microfiltration. This produces an isolate that is 90% protein, with 98% of it in the bioavailable undenatured form, and retains all important subfractions in their natural ratios. The whey protein isolate also comes from cows that are NOT treated with growth hormones (rBST).

The more that I’ve learned about my health, the more I’ve realized that not all protein powders are created equal. When the taste is just as amazing as the nutrition label, then you’ve found a keeper. Life Extension Whey Protein Isolate is a game changer and a must-have in this tasty protein smoothie.

After the protein powder, I add banana, cherries (packed with antioxidants and fiber), kale (high in fiber, Vitamin C and A), Oats (full of antioxidants, fiber), chia seeds (great source of omega-3 fatty acids, rich in fiber, iron and calcium), powdered peanut butter (I use PB2 for the low calories, low fat and high protein) and almond milk.

Once you combine these ingredients and blend, you get a delicious protein smoothie that will keep your tummy full and your body happy.
