It’s officially Fall y’all!!!

I’ve been dying to say that since my feet landed back on the ground in Kodiak a few weeks ago. Even though our daily highs have been flirting with the high 40s/low 50s, it wasn’t officially Fall. But now it is and boy does it feel like it.

With the cooler temps, I’m craving warmer foods. Specifically comfort foods that can be made with my crockpot. Like my chicken taco crockpot recipe or this deliciously cheesy and creamy macaroni and cheese.

Macaroni and cheese is one dish that my entire family can agree on. And if I’m being honest, I really love recipes that I can dump in my crockpot and go. My toddler keeps me on my toes, so the less time I have to be spend in my kitchen, the better.

Before I give you this amazingly delicious and oh-so-creamy recipe, I have to let you in on a little secret first. Cooking in a crockpot can often leave behind a mess. This recipe alone can leave cheese stuck to the sides of my crockpot and baked on messes that normally are hard to clean up. But today, I’m going to tell you about how I can easily and quickly get my crockpot sparkling clean with Scotch-Brite®!

Scotch-Brite® Heavy Duty Scrub Dots Sponge, Scotch-Brite® Non-Scratch Scrub Dots Sponge and Scotch-Brite® Heavy Duty Scrub Dots Dishwand are my secret weapon to taking down messes quickly and efficiently. No more spending large amounts of time scrubbing my crockpot after dinner for me. Thanks to the Scotch-Brite™ Brand, I’m able to save time cleaning and spend more time with my family.

After soaking water and soap in my crockpot for about 20 minutes, I use the Scotch-Brite® Heavy Duty Scrub Dots Sponge to easily wipe away baked on messes. These sponge scrub fast and rinse clean. The Scotch-Brite® Heavy Duty Scrub Dots Sponge is best when used with pots, pans and heavy duty bakeware (like crockpots!).

If there’s any remaining mess or for those messes that need some extra elbow grease, I like to use the Scotch-Brite® Non-Scratch Scrub Dots Dishwand. This dish wand will dispense dish soap in the needed areas to help eliminate those extra tough baked on messes WITHOUT scratching.

Scotch-Brite® Heavy Duty Dots Sponge is also a cleaning option for heavy duty cookware.

Scotch-Brite® Scrub Dots are helping me concentrate more on the cooking part and less on the mess.

Now that I’ve let you in on my secret cleaning weapon, I’m going to let you in on this delicious macaroni and cheese recipe.

  • 16 oz Elbow Macaroni
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 2 oz of Evaporated Milk
  • 2 1/2 cups of Milk
  • 3 cups of shredded Cheddar

Combine Ingredients in Crockpot.

Cook on low for 2-3 hours. Stirring occasionally.

This recipe is great for cold fall days. It is also a staple at our holiday dinners. You can find the Scotch-Brite™ Brand at your local Wal-Mart where you’d find sponges down the cleaning supplies aisle.  Don’t forget that you can get $1.00 off any two Scrub Dots items!

Crock-pot style might taste good but oven baked Mac is the best. Loved that you’re promoting the cleaning brushes as well.

I love my crockpot. I probably cook in it more than I do on my stove.

I don’t have a crock pot yet. But when I do, I’ll be making this. Sounds delicious.
