The holidays have always been my favorite time of the year. When my husband and I were still living in North Carolina we had our own Thanksgiving traditions with my family. We would have Thanksgiving dinner at my parents house. I’d spend the day helping my mom cook and Matt would often taste test. It was always special being able to get together with family, eat delicious food and enjoy our time together.
When the Coast Guard moved us 5,000 miles away to Alaska a year-and-a-half ago, we knew we would have to create new holiday traditions. Luckily, we are apart of an amazing Coast Guard community and have made friends who have become family. This year, for the first time ever, I am hosting Thanksgiving dinner. I’m excited to bring my friends together and to celebrate what we’re thankful for this holiday season. I have the perfect Holiday Sangria Recipe that will no doubt be the hit of our Thanksgiving dinner.
This Holiday Sangria is crisp, fresh and the perfect drink to bring your party together. The fresh apples, orange and cranberries are refreshing when mixed with a Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Red Blend base and sparkling cider. Woodbridge Red Blend was launched in January 2017 and has quickly become one of my favorites, especially for the holiday season. The wine offers warm, toasty aromas and flavors, including jammy blackberry, vanilla, and baking spices. It’s full and rich with a long, flavorful finish. It’s the perfect base for Holiday Sangria!
Before I give you the recipe for this delicious Holiday Sangria, I have to tell you about how I put a WHOLE Thanksgiving dinner spread together all while my daughter napped!

1 bottle of Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Red Blend
1 1/2 cups of Sparkling Cider
1 cup of Cranberries
1 sliced Orange
2 cubed apples
3 Rosemary Sprigs
Combine sliced orange, cubed apples, cranberries and rosemary into pitcher.
Add wine and sparkling cider
Refrigerate for 4 hours
Serve and enjoy!
